Excitement is buzzing at Manchester District Library as Fizz, Boom, Read! the 2014 Summer Reading Program draws to a close. Don’t worry if you have reading logs that need to be turned in. You still have time. And don’t worry if you still want to sign up…we will let you.
Fizz, Boom, Read! will end with a bang on July 25. Children (ages 12 and under) who have completed their reading goal for five weeks are being invited to a celebration party at 5pm. We are serving pizza and drawings for prizes will take place at that time. Some of the great prizes include a Kindle Fire, author signed books, passes to swim at the Comfort Inn of Chelsea, passes to Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, a family membership to the Great Lakes Zoological Society, and more.
At 6pm, on July 25, the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum will be in the Village Room for three hours of great science fun. Get messy and get smart at the same time. What could be better? All their experiments showcase science at work in fun and meaningful ways. You won’t want to miss this free event which is open to everyone.
