Library Welcomes New Resident with Special Diet

Daisy the Gecko is at home in the Manchester District Library. Among other things, geckos eat crickets which are dusted with nutrients for the gecko just prior to feeding. Also interesting, and shared with us by John Lebert, Curator of Ann Arbor’s Great Lakes Zoological Society, leopard geckos tolerate being handled, but greatly prefer being left alone.

DaisyMany thanks to the father and son who gave us Daisy, Pets N Things in Saline, Michigan, for generously donating supplies needed for Daisy’s health and comfort, animals lovers John and Beth Lebert for sharing knowledge and helping get Daisy settled, and to the Caplon family for donating the tank and stand which inspired this project.
