Geek the Library: Webb Seegert

Webb Seegert, Family Services Volunteer

seegert, webb

Performing and listening to Gospel music of all kinds are a passion of Webb’s ignited by his school teacher mother who had him performing at the age of three. Webb continues to sing in his own church, other local churches, weddings, funerals, and at the Chelsea Retirement Home.

Webb occasionally uses the library as a source of local history and answers to specific questions. The most influential book he ever read was brought home from school by his son. It was the story of a child kidnapped and raised by Native Americans.

(note from the librarian: I used the Books & Authors database available at MeL to  search for books like the one Webb describes — was it The Light In The Forest? If so, I think I remember reading that myself. An excellent story!)
