summer reading ends Friday

This week is the last week of the summer reading program.

Young readers who have been keeping track of reading minutes must turn in their time by Friday afternoon to get their prizes. Whether it’s one week or the full seven, we’re happy to count off your completed weeks and get your reward!

Teens who finish their reading contracts and turn them in by Friday afternoon will get a free pass to the Clinton Theater and/or a coupon for free pizza.

Adults who turn in their review slips by Friday afternoon will be entered in the grand prize drawing. We have 3 prize baskets this year — a selection of tea donated by Iceni Tea, a set of the 50 Shades trilogy, and a hand-made e-reader cover for your Kindle or Nook.

To round out the week, we’re welcoming The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and their traveling planetarium, called the Star Lab, on Fri. July 27 from 6-8pm. Drop by the Ackerson Gym at 410 City Rd. on Friday evening and you can take a seat in the planetarium for an up-close view of the universe. Follow that with an Out-Of-This-World Ice Cream Sundae! The event is free and open to all ages – no registration required.
