Family History Guild Events

Family researchers, take note!

The Family History Guild is hosting an after-hours research “lock-in” on Saturday, May 12th from 2-5pm. Using library resources (computers, databases including Ancestry and HeritageQuest), participants will work on filling in their family tree. Questions, “newbies,” and experienced users all welcome. Library wifi will be available for those who bring their own laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Then, on Tuesday May 15, the Family History Guild will hold their regular meeting to work on Brick Walls. Brick Walls are those questions that have stumped you — the people you can’t find, the places that have disappeared — and kept you from progressing in your quest to learn your family history. Char Major will have tips and ideas for how to break through those Brick Walls. Questions are welcome!

All ages and levels of experience are welcome at Family History Guild events. Registration is required for the lock-in on the 12th – please call 428-8045 to sign up.
