learn more about Chris Roberts-Antieau

"The Life of Chris Roberts-Antieau: A Love Letter to Tom Waits"

In a little studio on Main Street, works of art by Chris Roberts-Antieau are framed and shipped out to collectors. A self-taught outsider artist originally from Manchester, her pieces are now exhibited and collected across the U.S.

A new film is opening next Thursday about Chris’s work and life. It’s called The Life of Chris Roberts-Antieau: A Love Letter to Tom Waits and has been three years in the making.

If you’d like to attend the Ann Arbor premier (which includes a reception and after party), you can purchase tickets at the Michigan Theater. For more about the premier, see the AnnArbor.com Events Calendar.

For more information about Ms. Roberts-Antieau, see the Sept. 2010 article, “Nationally known Manchester artist Chris Roberts-Antieau’s life, art captured on film,” at Ann Arbor.com. The library will be adding copies of the documentary and of her book Sew Far to the collection for local research and browsing.
